Who we are
Lobster Development GmbH has been listed in the company register since 2020. Our experience goes back further: between us we have over 15 years with PHP, plus Java, Node.js, Python and running Linux servers.
At the moment we have 50+ IT services in operation, on more than 70 servers, our own and our clients’, Kubernetes nodes included. A service, for us, is any application in production that a client or its users work with. The Lobster Legacy Care page sets out what we take on and what we do not.
Personal certifications
Our solutions architect holds the ITIL® Expert Certificate in IT Service Management and the ITIL 4 Managing Professional. These are personal certifications, not company ones. You can verify both in the PeopleCert register. The page on how we work shows how we use them day to day.

Daniel Trittenwein is a lecturer at FH CAMPUS 02 in Graz. His subjects include technical SEO and monitoring.
How we keep knowledge
Clients often come to us because the developer has left and taken the knowledge about the system with them. We avoid that by writing it down.
Every system we look after has a runbook. It says how the system runs, how to restart it and how to restore it. Incidents from our work go into a knowledge base, together with their cause and workaround. If someone is away, another person in the team can step in.
